Lebanon Assembly of God

Update February 12, 2009:

The ceilings downstairs have been painted, which made the way for the electricians to come and install the lights downstairs.  We are working on painting the downstairs' walls & are looking forward to being able to use the downstairs fellowship hall soon.

Update December 2, 2008:

We just had our first Sunday in the new sanctuary.  We are so excited & feel extremely blessed by God!   If you are in town, we are having our building dedication this Sunday Dec. 7th at 10:00am.  Jeff Green (the previous pastor) will be one of our special guests for the service.  Following the service, we will have a free meal together.  Come, if you can.    Here are a few pictures to enjoy of our first service in the new sanctuary.

Update November 12, 2008:

Praise the LORD!  We are getting so close.  We were told that sometime this week we will be getting power in the new sanctuary.  If all goes well, we might be having our first service in November the 23rd.  Keep praying though.  We have lots of work to do before then.  Also, keep praying for the finances to complete the work downstairs.  Here are some pictures of the new sanctuary.

Update September 8, 2008:

WOW!  Time Flies!  Praise God for the progress we have made.  The electricians have been in.  The Plumbers have been coming and going lots recently.  The sprinkler system is in place and no leaks. (Smile).  We have had several RV couples come to help us with the journey.  Currently we are finishing the sheet rocking in the sanctuary and have a team coming in October the sheet rock the downstairs.  The stage/alter area is almost finished and waiting for the carpeting.  We are excited about what God is doing in our midst.  We look forward to building His church.

Miracles of Provision

On Easter, we were able to announce to our congregation some exciting news.  We received enough certificates (kind of like savings bonds) to qualify for a really good loan rate with Church Extension Plan.  But that's not all: we also received a cash gift of $15,000.  Praise the LORD!  This is very exciting because our loan does not cover all our expenses to complete the project.  This $15,000 will be a great start in helping us finish the downstairs of our new addition and/or purchase a baptistry, chairs for the sanctuary, or other still needed items.

Miracles we are asking God for:

Stage 1:

We are asking God to provide us with the finances to completely finish our new addition.  We do not have an exact figure, but are praying for $100,000.

Stage 2:

We are praying that we will be able to be debt-free again by the end of this year.  Our loan amount for the new addition is $406,000.  With Church Extension Plan, there is no penalty for paying the loan off early.  By doing this, it will free us up to better minister to the community around us and also help us plan for the future.

God is providing workers!

The M.A.P.S. team (an Assemblies of God ministry made up of volunteer from all over the U.S. that specializes in building churches) will be helping us.  They are truly wonderful people, whose desire is to make a difference in the world by providing a place for people to worship God & grow closer to Him.  They will be helping us through out the whole project but will be doing an exciting push in June to do a 3-day build.  In other words, they will put up the shell of our building & it's roof in 3-days.  That will be exciting!

Would you like to help?

Our three biggest needs:

1. People to pray for us.

2. People that would like to donate their time to work  (We need licensed NH plumbers, electricians, & other skilled laborers)

3. People willing to help financially (Our short range goal to complete the project is $100,000.  Our long range goal to complete the project and pay off the loan is $500,000.).  Any amount you give is tax-deductible and would be a huge help.

*** EXCITING NEWS*****  You can also help us without it costing a dime.  If you use google or yahoo to search for items on the internet, it will be really easy.  All you have to do is go to goodsearch.com and use them to do your searches.  It is powered by Yahoo.  Everytime you search, our church can earn a penny.  It may not seem like a lot, but if a lot of people use it for their everyday searches it can really add up.  If you are interested, when you go to goodsearch.com  , there will be a box that says, who do you goodsearch for.  Simply type in "Lebanon Assembly of God" and click the verify button to the right.  It will bring up a few choices.  Choose the one that says "Lebanon Assembly of God Lebanon, NH"  Then all your searches through good search will be earning money for the church.  On the web page, it can give you directions on how to put it on your web bar when you open your web browser.  This makes it extremely easy to search.  You can also see the progress of money that is raised for the church through goodsearch.com on their webpage.  Thanks for your help in spreading the word.  Do caution people not to do fake searches just to earn money for the church.  This is considered fraudulent and we could loose our ability to benefit from goodsearch.

Prayer is our link with God, an awesome avenue through which we can express praise and adoration to Him for His goodness, love, and mercy; and an avenue through which we can voice our petitions and concerns. God's Word assures us that we can "come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Prayer also moves the hand of God on behalf of needs and circumstances in our church, our families, our community, nation, and world. Take time to pray and intercede for these areas as God leads you. Become part of a prayer group and intercede with others in times of corporate prayer. As you seek God's help, expect reports of great victory to follow as God answers prayer.
